valuable information about the area. Plains is a community of more than 1100
people and about that many outside the town area. The terrain is great for hiking.
with added fun at the Golf Course, Trap shooting, hunting provide fun things to do.
We have all the needful shopping with grocery, drug store, banks, printing, plus
many others. For larger varieties of extensive shopping, it is about 75 miles to
Missoula and 175 miles to Spokane. The Clark Fork River and Flathead River supply
plenty of good fishing and boating. Deer, Elk, and+ Bighorn Sheep, and bear are an
awesome sight regularly. Recently the local hospital was remodeled,modernizing
the facility. This fall the Plains airport was expanded to assist emergency services.
Plains is the site for the Sanders County fair every Labor Day weekend. Sanders
County seat is in Thompson Falls.
